Sales Manager (Hiring now)

Bubbleology Research International (RBRI) is looking for a Sales Manager to lead our sales team in California. The Sales Manager is responsible for setting the goals of the department, understanding the importance of building and maintaining relationships, overseeing the budget, motivating the team, and projecting an environment of continuous learning.

The sales manager will manage relevant outreach communications efforts at trade shows, print media, and social media, coordinating marketing efforts with our social media coordinator. The sales manager will be expected to screen potential clients and must have experience in business development, including closing sales and contract negotiation, technical sales, and technical client support. The manager will be expected to add additional products lines including novel technologies under development to his / her portfolio.

We are NOT looking for software sales experience.

The ideal candidate will provide coaching and leadership to those on the sales team. This role will motivate and guide the team towards reaching all sales goals. He/she will assign territories, report to senior Sales leadership on achievements, and mentor the junior sales team members. This person will also display tremendous leadership experience, strong customer service skills, and proven negotiating skills.


  • Strategize and project – Plan, project, and strategize team headcount and budget. Evaluate informational reports to identify new clients, estimate future sales, and understand the profits and objectives. Capture customer needs to qualify sales leads and efforts.
  • Lead and manage – Recruit, hire, and educate the sales department on an ongoing basis. Establish sales territories and quotas while evaluating sales department performance. Partner with senior leadership to evaluate department strategies and future sales goals.
  • Maintain customer focus – Work with the team to evaluate new customer goals and assist with identifying solutions that will meet their need. Handle customer complaints, employee disagreements and other problems that may affect the sales operations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration preferred
  • Three years of direct sales experience required
  • Technical understanding of the meteorology instrumentation
  • Proficient customer relationship management software

BRI is seeking to expand our customer base for one of our product lines related to air quality monitoring. Potential clients include utility companies, refineries, air quality agencies, disaster responders, etc.

Currently the product line is based on sales and leasing (we have an existing major client); however, we plan to add expandability and service contracts to the product line.

Compensation will be a combination of salary with benefits and commission. Being within / willingness to relocate to the greater Santa Barbara will be important once the pandemic ends. At that time, the position requires being on site for 2-3 days per week – presently the position is full time remote. The initial contract will be extended based on performance.

Lab Tech 1 (Recruiting in a few months)

A growing environmental research and development company is looking for a laboratory technician to help with basic laboratory tasks including organizing and inventory and participation in experiments (under supervision).
Experience in a chemistry lab and/or light fabrication (drilling, sanding, cutting, bolting, etc.) and/or an automotive shop are a significant plus, opening potential advancement, as is field experience.
Completion of junior year at college or equivalent non college experience as relates to the above noted experience is preferred.

A health and dental plan is available to full time employees after a probationary period. We are looking for a qualified applicant to start immediately.

Two negative CoVid tests will be required separated by a week, and any applicant must be committed to safe Covid practices at work and at home.

Pay: $14.00 – $17.50 per hour
